As part of the fantastic Heritage Week activities, I visited this hidden treasure in Dún Laoghaire.
This jewel of Irish heritage was created by Sister Concepta Lynch, a Dominican nun whose devotion and artistry spanned 16 years (1920–1936). Inspired by the Book of Kells and the Celtic Revival movement, she patiently adorned every surface with hand-painted patterns, weaving together ancient Irish tradition and deep Christian symbolism.
Behind its modest exterior lies a sanctuary of astonishing beauty, one of Ireland’s most breathtaking artistic treasures.

The tour was organised through the school where I took the training course. Joe is a great guide who showed us lots of places and had lots of interesting historical facts and anecdotes to tell. His obvious passion and love for details made us discover things we usually wouldn't have noticed. Time simply flew by - you cannot be in better hands.

I highly recommend this guided walking tour to anyone visiting Dublin. Our guide, Joe, was absolutely wonderful—very friendly and deeply passionate about the city's heritage. Walking through the Georgian district was a highlight. The guide beautifully connected the history of the streets with fascinating facts about Ireland's famous writers and local music artists.
